So Valentine's Day to me so a little bit cheesy. "Here, are flowers, chocolates" or "I love you! Here are cheesy gifts of a large, pink, stuffed animal and chocolate..."
How did the holiday come to be..?
No one really knows the true story. But Valentine's Day is "connected" to the saint, St. Valentine who is said to have been a priest and was martyred for helping and sheltering Christians during the years of the Christian persecutions of the early ages of the Roman Empire. From this, the day of romance blossomed.
